Over the decades, System has mapped every earthly factors to each other just like a precise mathematical equation. Everything that we can think of is connected to each other in some or other way. For simplicity I could say System has created biggest Rubik's cube factoring in every discipline that anyone could think of or even beyond. Change in one parameter results in change in output of the equation or change in other related parameters to balance the equation. To relate I could say if one iteration demands increased freedom to every individual then it could result in unstable human relationships. On another, I could say if it has decided to reach technology to masses it may result in increased pollution of our environments as the biproduct. System will always try to balance this, finding the right proportions to sustain. This can be seen/felt even in an individual's life. Every transaction (let it be business driven/physical/physiological) in our life is related and bounded to each other just like nature's law. I would say it's like Newton's 3rd law for living world. This might be causing the idea of 'God' in some way as well.
When an iteration is no longer viable/adequate to support the present world, chaos will be seen in multiples. This happens because System is forcefully balancing the equation against natural order of things. Extreme climate events (wild fires, floods, hurricanes etc), acts like war, emergence of deadly diseases, increased violence etc could be seen as this unbalance. This imbalance will be echoed in such/many ways before implementing next iteration.
